I fell in love with art and texture the first time I visited Mexico.  The colours radiated warmth and created feelings of joy.  When I returned home,  I translated these feelings onto my canvases using paint and texture.  I enjoy working with acrylics, mediums, glazes and encaustics as they allow me to work quickly.  The acrylic mediums allow me to add texture which adds shape and interest to my paintings.  I often incorporate round shapes into my abstracts.  The shapes, combined with texture and colour create interesting eye movement.  Adding glaze to my paintings allows me to add many transparent  layers creating bright luminous colours.  My paintings, whether acrylics or encaustics, whether abstracts, landscapes or florals, are all painted with bright luminous colour and texture.

Creating art is an endless journey full of adventure and constant learning.  What a great journey it is!
