Lisa Funk was born in 1970
and raised in Winnipeg, Canada. She
resides in a rural community where she raises her family. For over 25 years she has experimented with
various mediums with a preference for acrylic and oil.
A self-taught artist, she continues to learn and expand her knowledge by participating in instructor taught classes. She is a certified Bob Ross instructor and has painted with Dorothy Dent, Derek Wicks, and Joyce Ortner. She was inspired by watching Bob Ross teach oil painting on television every Sunday on PBS. She is also fan of Robert Bateman’s work.
