Kathleen Black

Art is about light and time.
Dawn light traveling over the day becoming moonlight.
So we grow and change
Things that are transparent become opaque
Really, it is all about time.
The time of day, time of life, how little or great the time.

Kathleen is a painter and sculptor. She studied visual art at the University of Manitoba and glass at Red Deer College and Alberta College of art and Design. She has also studied with many talented Manitoban artists and teachers.

Her primary interest involves the exploration of time as depicted by light as it travels throughout the day and seasons. Her people and landscapes all speak to this interest in our limited time here.  Kathleen’s work is in collections across Canada and as far away as Australia.
